Can't charge Galaxy Tab with non Samsung Battery Power Pack

Galaxy tab P7510 (10.1 inches) requires this battery pack from Samsung to charge. 5V/ 9000mAh.
Included in box =, battery pack, wire for charging using travel adapter (not included but you can use the Galaxy tab's charger). wire for charging the tab from battery pack, & user manual.
If you use this battery pack, it will charge Galaxy Tab without  a fuss. (charging symbol appears)
If you use other battery packs, the Galaxy Tab shows incompatibility. Although it is 5V and 1000mAH. There is something preventing the charging. The Tab battery info shows discharging, so clearly it is not workable. I asked Samsung and the technician says it's compatibility issues (which in my opinion forces users buy Samsung Battery Pack).
Battery Pack by Samsung is clearly for Galaxy tab. It will charge Samsung Phones too but then so will other China/Taiwan Powerbanks/  Battery Packs
This is the model number for the battery pack. On the internet, I think there is a charging converter to allow charging TABs using other battery packs. Some forum says the discharging/non charging (red X on the battery icon) is just software and the tab should charge from other power banks/ battery packs. I have yet to try it out.  refer : http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-10-1/240891-something-i-just-discovered-today-about-charging-note-10-1-a.html
