Standard Chartered KL marathon 2010

My top 10 reviews on KL Marathon:
Note: One death in the race. My condolences.
(1) we have very bad air pollutions,-bus fumes, river smelly.
(2) We have lots of potholes and you know it when running.
(3) We have good water stations (really love them).
(4) We start on time, no delays,
5) we have good caring people but lacks proper equipment. (medics),
(6) we have lots of trees in KL (cooling and unlike Cyberjaya).
(7) We have bad securities with our cars parks, where's the CCTV ? and c'mon-it's Bukit Aman)
(8) We have great weather on that day-be thankful.
9)Baggage collection is bad.
(10), Smelling roti canai while running pass it, is plain evil.


I did 21km (half) and with training. time (Personal best) : 2hrs 40 mins, official clock : 2hrs 42 mins.

Stopped at 7 out of 9 water stations. I estimate each water stations cost me 3 mins or less.

No LSD run, will improve on it. My training was 10-13km max.

FORD RANGER on PEDDERS absorbers

New Pedders Trak Ryder (gas absorbers)-9100 Series

It was a Tuesday 15th June 2010.

The RANGER got some Pedders shocks dampers. One set costing RM 1802 in total, plus installations.
My standard original shock absorbers ran 58,ooo km, so it's about time to change them.

Evaluations:
PRO:
Stiff, controlled ride, and helps cornering a lot.
Works well with the YOKO Geolander wide tyres.
Not too expensive compared with IRONMAN, TOUGH-DOG etc,

Con:
The back is stiff when new. However this changes after more usage. It's only my third day with the new shock absorbers.
Can't find any at this juncture.

Warranty issues: Two years or 40,000 km for road use (not off-road).

FORD Changed tyres YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER

(Above) the Bridgestones 245 vs the Yokohama 265 (below)
PRO: Wider tyres -better to handle corners
Looks better (more wheels)
CON: A little bumpy with the 265
My torque was not effected because of the way I drive. (I actually feel better)
Also, had to trim the mud flaps due to lock to lock (full turning of wheels) , tyre will scrap the mud flap. A little trimming is all that is needed.

8.5.2010: Changed the FoRD tyres from Bridgestones to YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER HT
paid RM1570 for them (4 in total)
I changed it from 245 to 265, making it bigger and more width.

The ride was a little more bumpy on straights (when I asked my passenger) but cornering is much sharper and gives me more confident. It looks better too.

The ODO clocked 58,000 kms.
