Windows Movie Maker 6.0 and 3gp files ; The publishing problem

To use 3gp files (Sony E hand-phone video)_in Windows movie maker 6.0,
From gp3 (hand-phone video format)-->convert each file to WMV, by publishing it in Windows Movie Maker 6.0

Save in a folder.

Then Do the storyboard using Windows Movie Maker 6.0, Now add audio, editing, etc. Ready to publish as WMV files.

I also found it hard to download this version as the latest Windows Movie Maker is out.

**I also changed the extension (via rename) from 3gp to wmv before making/editing my video.
This does not work!
